I mean, both are (generally) humanoids, not just Altered Humans. I’m going to try using family specific language for alt-humans, and species specific for alt-beasts. All manticores are chimera, yet not all chimera are manticores. There’s some deep cut stuff there probably with mutant animals and mutant humans, and possibly game lore; but it’s significantly unlikely anyone outside of deranged lab AI would still be using the terminology in the 34th century.
